IVEY TO WITHDRAW FROM HIGH STAKES POKER?

According to rumours Phil Ivey and Tom dwan are on the Rail for High Stakes Poker. If you haven’t been keeping score in the sponsorship arms race, that would leave High Stakes Poker with empty chairs previously filled by Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Mike Matusow and other notables.

That’s according to a post on 2+2, confirmed by Barry Greenstein. Neither Full Tilt or High Stakes Poker had commented at the time of this article.

IVEY LOSES MONEY

Phil Ivey was one of the players who lost money in the latest poker tournament. Patrik Antonius booked a million dollar week, while Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen lost money. Find out who won and who lost in our Full Tilt high-stakes cash game report.

Patrik Antonius stormed back into the high-stakes mix this week, beating the games at Full Tilt for more than $1.1 million. And when we say “games” we mean IHateJuice, as most of the Finn’s profits game against one player, and much of it came playing limit hold’em. About $850K changed hands between the two players in just that game, over the course of more than 6,000 hands.
