It was the 2012 Aussie Millions $250,000 Super High Rollers that began on Saturday and lasted till the early hours of Sunday Morning. Phil Ivey’s was lucky on that day and managed to grab $2,000,000 – which was the first place prize after h defeated Patrick Antonius bringing him back to the poker world.
Phil Ivey had disappeared from the face of poker a few months back before he returned in the month of November at the APPT Macau. Phil Ivey made a couple of big time wins there. Firstly he placed 12th in the main event for $100,000 and then he went on far away to obtain the highest score ever in Super High Rollers. The game started with an initial number of 18 players and around $800,000 was in store. Among the other stars who had taken part in the event we had Erik Seidel, Sam Trickett, Jason Mercier and others.
The first person to be eliminated was Dwan who was eliminated by Gun Hansen. Then we have Nick Wong who got eliminated next with Seidel being busted in the fifth level of the game and was sent out with an amount of $100,000 by winner, Dan Smith. Then Yu was bowled out in the sixth place followed by
Peter Eastgate in the fifth place Negreanu was however considered to b the bubble boy with the only man not getting ah huge chunk of money. The other two players that joined Phil Ivey and Antonius were Negreanu and Gun Hansen.
That round saw Hansen walking out with Ivey and Antonius remaining to face a one on one battle. Antonius had the King of spades and the three of diamonds while Ivey had the Ace of heart and Queen on Diamonds. With the eight of diamond landing on the river, Antonius had to walk back home as a runner up.
